China AI Desk separates two channels. Approved comments can appear below the issue they discuss. Suggestions, corrections, and accessibility reports stay private unless you separately permit publication.

Public after review

Issue comments

Each numbered issue has its own reader-notes section. Comments enter a private moderation queue first. A published comment is still a reader contribution—not source evidence, a verified identity, or an editorial endorsement.

  • No account required. Display names are optional and are not identity-checked.
  • Plain text only. Links are not made clickable and embedded HTML is never rendered.
  • Editorial gate. Spam, harassment, private data, unsupported allegations, and off-topic promotion are not published.
  • Retention. Pending or declined comments are scheduled for deletion after 30 days; approved comments remain until removed.

Data boundary

Small intake.
Explicit use.

The application stores only the fields shown in the forms. It does not create reader accounts or store raw IP addresses. Cloudflare Turnstile receives the data needed to verify that a submission is human.

  1. Verification. The Worker checks the Turnstile token, hostname, action, same-origin request, and rate limit before accepting a note.
  2. Moderation. Comments are private until approved. Suggestions have no public read endpoint.
  3. Minimization. Comments do not collect email. Suggestion email is optional and requires reply consent.
  4. Removal. Use “Correction or removal request” above and identify the issue or comment that should be reviewed.
